March 21, 2001 — Sci-Fi movies reports that Drew Barrymore is interested in following in the boots of Jane Fonda to be the next Queen of the Galaxy, who Warner Brothers has bought the rights to. The 1968 original, directed by Roger Vadim, was an adaptation of the cult comic strip by Jean-Claude Forest. Fonda starred as the 41st century space explorer with an adventurous spirit and plenty of fashion flair. According to Fleming, the remake will drop the camp elements and "stay faithful to the edgy comic strip." |
