Rose McGowan may have been cast as Barbarella in director Robert Rodriguezs upcoming remake, says IESB.net. Yeah I know, youve heard it all before, but this time theres something in it when McGowans agents dont flat out deny the rumour and patch journalists over to the PR division, youve gotta suspect theres something going on.
McGowan, who worked with Rodriguez on Grindhouse and Sin City, has been the directors first choice for the scantily-clad heroine since day one. She even agreed to play model for her friend (special friend) in a promo reel that showcased the fx hed hope to use in the film.
If Rodriguez is indeed trading bloomers with McGowan, ya think hes gonna overlook her for the lead role? Me thinks not. Not when shes got a direct line to the doctor of death and most likely owns a sharp pair of bone-cutting scissors.
