The first person who comes to mind when thinking of a bikini-clad, sex-crazed space adventurer ridding the world of intergalactic villains one orgasm at a time should beHalle Berry? According to these people (found courtesy of JoBlo.com pal and all around pimp daddy Paul from The Hollywood News), Berry "has recently confirmed her continued status as a sex symbol by nabbing the lead-role in the Barbarella remake." Um, when exactly did she do that? Interview? Profile? Overheard drunken slur? if someone can find a reference for this supposed confirmation, that'd be aces. Anyhoo, what do you guys think of Berry stepping into Jane Fonda's space boots? She certainly has the "sexy" aspect of the character covered. Although considering Robert Rodriguez, who's directing the remake, is currently dating an actress (Rose McGowan) who I'm not entirely convinced isn't a sexpot space adventurer, you'd think she'd be a shoe-in for the role.
