From Corona's Coming Attraction's script review of 'Bulletproof Monk':

BULLETPROOF MONK is just a load of fun. The best B-movie script Ive read since Chris Morgans CELLULAR. You get all the kung fu fighting you can ask for. A bunch of What is the sound of one hand clapping?-type sage enlightenment from the Monk. White-boy Kar explaining his name, which is Cantonese for family (he was an orphan, you see, and never wanted to be away from his family again). Theres Nina seducing a tied-up Monk (he can concentrate strongly enough to telepathically communicate with Kar, but he cant concentrate strongly enough not to get an erection when a fine-looking woman is rubbing his body). You get the hilarious, bitter ranting of Struker, who talks about His People and what happened to them and how he tried to find every magical and mystical object out there to turn the war around for Germany.
