Charlie and the Chocolate Factory “Mixed Feelings” — KoolKat [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I have mixed feelings about this remake. You see, the 1971 Original film, starring Gene Wilder was supremely made. But, at the same time, I am a HUGE fan of Johnny Depp.( in fact, I worship him). If I were to meet Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp together, I can positively say that I do not know who I would side with. I grew up with the Original, and I have a somewhat faint, and familiar saddness about this film. Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp are both extremely talented actors, and are wonderful persons. It would be a hard, and difficult decision for me who to side with. I always had a pipedream of being "Mrs. Johnny Depp". I've had the pipedream of being "Mrs. Gene Wilder", too.
