I think it was Rostron who made this thread awhile back asking what book or book series would you like to see made into a movie.. and then who would u have direct it

heres myne

THE DARK TOWER SERIES BY STEPHEN KING

Director: Peter Jackson
Producer: Jerry Bruckheimer
Composer: John Williams

Actors: Viggo Mortensen, Adrian Brody Christian Bale Renee Zellweger(sp?) Miranda Otto and Haley Joel Osmond to name a few

For those of you who have read the Dark Tower series would definitely have to agree that Viggo Mortensen would be the perfect Roland the Gunslinger.. He has the look the physique and most definitely the character relation... He would definitely fit the role....

as for my choice in directing it... Peter Jackson would be a must... He's recreated environments in real life that wouldve been nearly impossible to some others... He's done it with Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and King Kong... he would be my choice

Jerry Bruckheimer would definitely be the best executive producer... hes brought adventure to Pirates of the Carribean, National Treasure, and is the producer of the most watched television show, CSI

well what are your guys choices.. I woiuld love to hear them

All the good books I have read within the last year or so are already being made into movies.

So maybe the Birth of Venus.

I would think the Captain Underpants Books would make a great movie series directed by Tim Burton.

The Sparrowhawk books would make a great miniseries or set of films. Edward Cline.

Narnia Isn't Peter Jackson, though Weta is involved

"The people who made [Firefly], and the people who saw the show, which is roughly the same number of people, fell in love with it, a little bit too much to let it go, too much to lay down arms when when the battle looked pretty much lost. In Hollywood, people like that are called unrealistic, quixotic, obsessive... In my world, they're called Browncoats."

Dean Koontz's new Frankenstein books would be great. He was originally making them as a USA Network miniseries (set to be directed by Martin Scorcese) but the network wanted to change it to much so Koontz and Scorcese dropped out. Koontz is releasing his story as a trilogy of novels, the second of which just came out. I'd say George A Romero should direct, just because he's such a great director.

Books into movies....

Good Omens by Gaiman and Prattchet...if not a movie, than a BBC series...

Stephen King's Dark Tower...a movie or three would do this no justice...do a HBO series since you can get away with so much...fi not, tone it down a bit in some areas and throw it on Sci-Fi

Movie NOT to make out of a series or book...Watchmen. There is no way in h-e-double hockey sticks they can do justice to this amazing story with 2-1/2 to 3 hour movie...Need to do a series, BBC or Sci-Fi
