With all this talk about the dark knight and Heath as the joker. I was wondering what happened to Batman Beyond the movie, i mean sure there was an animated series of Batman Beyond, but what happened to the live action movie of it. Dont get me wrong , its not that i dont like batman begins or the sequel, but it would be really nice to see something new like batman in the future. I mean it would look so cool with future cars and city. I mean maybe the budget would be expensive but look at the fifth element movie, thats set in the future and its budget wasnt that high. I really want this movie to happen and i hope the studio considers doing a batman beyond movie. . .

Dude come on be serious....it takes long enough to get one comic book franchise up and running but to get one comic franchise up and running release the first movie then start the sequel THEN start a spin off of it. Thatd be way to much they have to focus on one invisioning of batman at a time.

you are right that they should focus on one franchise at a time but they could atleast start planning the Batman Beyond movie as of right now. I doubt they will make another sequel to Batman 3 (the next batman after the dark knight). A futurestic batman sounds pretty cool to me.

I read that they let that go. After Schumacher, they were gonna make a World's Finest type movie and a Batman Beyond movie as well. Schumacher still wanted to be involved with the Batman franchise so he pitched a script for Batman Triumphant which would have starred The Scarecrow as the primary villain and Harley Quinn would have appeared as well. Jack Nicholson was also set to make an appearance. Since the previous movie had failed they wanted to make it darker so Schumacher had apparantly tried to do this by killing off Robin. Warner Brothers liked the idea of another Bats movie but did not like the idea of Schumacher as director so they told directors to bring them their idea of a Batman movie. It was like a contest and guess who won? Thats right it was Christopher Nolan. And THAT my friend is how we got from Batman and Robin...to Batman Beyond/World's Finest...to Batman Triumphant...to Batman BEGINS! YAY!

I would rather see a Batman Beyond movie than a Batman VS. Superman movie. So let's let Chris do his thing for a while until he gives up the directors seat then maybe we can start thinkin about Batman Beyond. And if it's a sucess, then after a while we can start the BvS thang. That's the order I would do them.

But I would never even think about doin a BvS movie if Bale wasn't up for it. I would prefer a new Superman, but definately keep Bale. So they might have to hold out on Batman Beyond for a while so that they can make a BvS movie. I don't think Bale wants to play Batman for the next 20 years.

Well first each character has to have their trilogy, then we have to have the Batman Vs. Superman film (dont know how many movies that will be) and then there are other DC heroes and so Batman Beyond is pretty far away.

Would love to direct a Batman Beyond or Batman Vs. Superman.

Christian Bale vs. Brandon Routh

Then we see Christian Bale as a old man.

Wow it would be a dream come true !

What is batman beyond?

Just have another actor, as comics have different artists all the time and draw them their own way anyway and never look the same.

A cartoon show that aired a while back about a retired Bruce Wayne giving up his batsuit to a high schooler named Terry McGinnis.

And I think either Josh Hartnett, Jake Gyllenhaal, or Trent Ford would play a good Batman in a Batman Beyond movie.

Bale could WHOOP Routh's ass so I have NO interest in a Batman vs Superman film as long as Routh is playing Supes.

Routh as Superman again have you people lost your mind that movie was the worst one ever.

Christopher Reeves probably rolling over in his grave that they tarnished his Superman image like that.
