Since this project has been shelved, for what could very well be many many years.... I will probably be the one to bring this cartoon adaptation to screen, because WB will not make this project into a film that easily- they will fear that some view it as a cartoon (zany and wacky) and make it very over the top, while disregarding the legend of Batman himself. I understand Batman Beyond, and see potential in it (let's face it- it's not like Steven Summers or any big names in Hollywood as of yet consider this to be one of their projects). There was an earlier draft by the creators of the show that was probably dropped due to the fact that it resembled the TV show too much in that it was a cartoon, but live action. I have the same notion that Raimi does with Spider-Man, it's a coming to age drama mixed in with fight scenes, not a superhero film- I believe that term ended years ago, these are films with heart that need substance.
I have already written the first film, which the whole first act is very similar to the Rebirth episodes. And then a couple of more twists, character introductions and so on.
I have already concieved of a second and third film and am in the middle of writing the sequel.
So from the Batman Beyond adaptation, expect a "tight" trilogy in that it will be one story after the other- chronologically. Meaning the same week that the first movie ends, is the same week the 2nd movie begins.
It's a drama that needs substance, substance that I know how to give.... so expect me to probably be the film maker of this film. So, taking a note from MSJ (who responds to those with questions about his films on Shh! (another website) (he's the director of DD and Ghost Rider))
So any questions and/or concerns post them. And I hope to see you all in theaters.
p.s. If you want I can post the first draft- due to the fact that it is only a treatment that will be worked and re-worked, it is the vertebrate (backbone) of the movie and due to it's not being the final draft I can share it with you if you want.
But, Batman Beyond will be a film- a trilogy in about 10 to 20 years, and well ask away.

I Did not read all of it but so far I Like it, because it tells us little more info about Terry, like That he goes to jail for killing a man, well Killing a Joker, But I like that it really based on the First Episode of the cartoon, I mean I read it and remember Parts of the Episode. and the way its kind of the same story but you try give it a little more info and try to keep the same story but change little details. But I think in the start of the movie Gordan should Die trying to save Bruce, Bruce is a very close friend of Gordan, so Gardon would do anything to save him. I mean, its not like we need him anyways, 20 years in the future his dead any ways. but it would give Bruce a even bigger Shock, I mean he was the Hero and in the End Gordon had to be the Hero. But I Really Really like the The Script So Far, I can't wait to read the rest !!!

Catboy, what can I say- you're a genius.... this is why I opened up many Batman Beyond boards is because I would really like this to be a fan's movie, other than just a lone project- and you're idea wo.... great- also I could use the whole plot in the third film for Bruce mentoring Terry in a very significant way, all I can say. Well- here's the updated scene and will be used and replaced what I had originally.
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
The camera zooms in through a spinning fan to reveal a woman being held prisoner- and in the center of the room were two thugs smoking and playing cards-
THUG1
Hey- go check on her will you?
Thug2 walks up to the woman and checks, she was still alive-
WOMAN
Batman will save me!!!!
THUG2
Batman will save you? Batman?
(laughs)
EXT. ROOF OF DARK WAREHOUSE
Batman was running along the roof in a new modified costume, the Batman Beyond costume-
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
The woman looks towards the guards frantically and then she sees Batman staring down towards her from the roof above- and he tells her to be quiet- the Thug2 looks towards her-
THUG2
What is it?
The thug2 walks towards her and then he looks up as Batman punches through the glass- and he lands
BATMAN
Your worst nightmare-
THUG2
Its the bats!!!!!!
Batman stays there staring forward- breathing hard
THUG2
No problem- its just an old man
Thug2 punches Batman in his gut, and Batman falls to the ground shaking, he was having a heart attack- Thug2 takes out his gun and prepares to shoot-
THUG2
Well, if you are Batman- Ill be doing this city a favor wouldnt I?
EXT. STREETS OF GOTHAM CITY
See police cars zooming down the streets- and then you see the warehouse in the distance.
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
Thug1 was now observing the old man-
THUG1
I say- we see whos behind that mask-
Thug1 rips the mask off of Batman, to reveal an old man- Bruce Wayne.
THUG2
Look who it is- the millionaire.
THUG1
Money cant buy everything Bruce-
THUG2
What do we do?
THUG1
Tie him up- the people of Gotham might not care about her- but, Bruce Wayne will start a city panic-
(smiles)
EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE
The police cars arrive- and an older Police Commisioner Gordan steps out- and puts him the communication horn-
GORDAN
Come out and put your hands up-
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
THUG2
What do we do?
THUG1
What do you think we do? We have Bruce Wayne dont we?
(slyly motions over towards Bruce)
They wont do anything stupid.
(slyly smiles out of arrogance)
Theyll never be able to kill us- not now.
EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE
GORDAN
I repeat- come out with your hands in the air-
THUG1 (OC)
We dont think so- you see we have one of your best friends in here- Bruce do you want to say hi to Gotham City?
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
THUG 2
Talk damn it!!!!
Thug2 punches the tied up Bruce Wayne in the gut- and he screams out in pain.
EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE
Gordan begins to pant out of fear, he originally thought the situation was bad, a woman kidnapped- but, turns out it just got worse. His best friend Bruce Wayne had a stake in todays hostage situation.
GORDAN
Im going in
BULLOCK
But, lieutenant you go in, youll be risking your life! We need you out here.
GORDAN
Well, right now- one of my closest friends needs me. What would you say is more important?
BULLOCK
I dont think this is a good idea Gordan- we dont know what theyre packing in there
Sweat begins to pour down Gordans face he looks towards the entrance and then back towards Bullock.
GORDAN
Im going in- you dont see me come back, send reinforcements.
BULLOCK
Yes sir-
Gordan nods and he speaks into the communication device again.
GORDAN
Im coming in to negotiate.
Gordan begins to walk towards the dark abandoned warehouse.
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
Thug1 is staring towards Bruce Wayne, smiling and nodding in great glory-
THUG1
Were going to be rich my morning- real rich, come on-
THUG2
What is it?
THUG1
I was just thinking what I would do if I had a million dollars.
(sarcastic)
Too bad their sending the cops in
THUG2
I thought you said that they wouldnt try to kill us!!!
THUG1
No- I never said that, what I said was- theyll never kill us- we have Bruce in range- dont we? They fire, we fire- easy game of the hostage and the terrorist- a game of cat and mouse. One that the police always fail-
THUG2
Unless Batman shows up-
Bruce looks towards them, he knew they thought he wasnt Batman- even he himself, was wishing Batman would show up- but, it was no use- Batman has gotten old. And to add to his troubles, was his friend- Police lieutenant Gordan. The doors to the warehouse open up and Gordan walks in Thug 1 and 2 turn around and point their gun towards Gordan.
GORDAN
Easy, Im just coming in to negotiate.
Gordan goes quiet when he hears helicopters whirling above their heads.
THUG 2
Why are there helicopters?
GORDAN
Oh- agh theyre not with us I sware!
THUG1
Trust him, probably just a couple of news hounds.
Thug 2 shakes his head ok.
THUG 1
You came in to negotiate huh?
Gordan shakes his head yes
THUG 1
Well- talk then.
EXT. OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE
Bullock looks above them to see the news helicopters swerving above.
BULLOCK
What the hell are they doing here! Gordan, you son of a bitch, where are you.
(smokes his cigar)
Alright Gordan, sorry, but Im giving the order.
INT. DARK WAREHOUSE
GORDAN
Just promise me that the hostages will come out alive-
THUG1
Were business men Gordan, is it? Not killers.
All of a sudden the door blasts open with a detonation charge and Gordan is thrown to the ground by the impact. Gordan looks up towards Bruce.
GORDAN
Hey hows it going?
BRUCE
Not the well, what about yourself?
Gordan grins.
GORDAN
Face it Bruce, were both getting old.
Bruce smiles laughing. Gordan looks towards the entrance that was just blasted open smoke pellets are dropped inside and a squad of police officers storm into the abandoned warehouse. Thug 1 looks behind his back and towards them grinning
THUG1
You happen to forget at who Im aiming at- you make any sudden moves and he dies-
THUG2
Come on give up- please.
THUG1
Shut up!!!!
Thug2 trembles as he aims the gun towards Thug1
THUG2
Do as they say!!!! Were out numbered- we lost.
THUG1
Im not going to give all of my dreams away- just for you!!!!
Thug 1 shoots Thug2
THUG1
So where were we- oh yeah, I remember
Thug1 had his gun towards Bruces head and the gun is fired Gordan immediately jumps in front of the bullet and he is the one that is shot- Gordan slumps to the ground and Bruce begins to breath heavily again looking down towards his best friend in the world, one of the only men he had felt safe to tell his secret identity to that was it, Gordan said it best. Its time to call it quits.
POLICE1
Mr.Wayne- everything will be okay.
The police untie both of the hostages-
POLICE2
Mr. Wayne are you alright?
Bruce looks away from Gordans dead body and looks towards the cop and smiles.
BRUCE
Im getting too old for this ****.
We open up to the beginning main credits sequence which plays to the Phantasm theme song.
