Hello all,

Longtime visitor, firsttime poster.

This post deals not with the movie, but with the merchadise, specifically toys.

I was just curious if anyone knows if there will be more life-size guns and neuralizers availiable this time around? I know there are neuralizers at Universal in Florida (saw it on eBay), but I'm going home for a while, and I don't have e-mail access there. So if you read this, post whatever info you have!!

I'm asking since I'm working on a general costume I use at sci-fi conventions. (Sure beats being a Jedi or a guy in a Trek uniform, and you look really good wearing it.) I have the suit, the shirt, the tie, and the sunglasses, FYI. All I need now is weapons. LOTS of authetic weapons. (No auctions...I just need to know where.)

BTW, a blue light on the neuralizer? Who's supplying them? K-Mart?

Well the thing about MIB is its costly. The real authentic weapon remakes (metal and whatnot) go for a hell of a lot from private sellers. You're going to a convention right?

The joy of MIB is nothing is what it seems, and everything can be anything. This is VERY true about weapons.

For a MIB Gun, you dont need to spend a fortune. All you need to do is look at the latest Super Soaker water guns or Nerfs. No kidding. For halloween, I went and got a big vicious looking nerf gun. I painted the body silver with a high metallic spray paint after taping areas off. I then went in with gray and black details to cover up the ungodly neon stuff. The little insets in the barrel of the blaster was neon orrange so I left that and detailed in some gray areas. It is a butt kicking gun. Right now, Super Soaker makes a gun that retails for about 30-40. it's huge. I went and saw one and it has an uncanny resemblance to the larger blaster models in MIB> It's also grayish with minimal neon colors. If you love doing this stuff, all you need to do it work in taping off what you plan on doing and do the body in a high shine silver.

These guns look totally MIB. Thats the fun part. if it's big, small, weird, simple, it's MIB. Half the fun is making up a name for it too!

I used the Series five Transmogrifying Particle Beam rifle.

hehe. You cant go wrong with putting love and time into making your own personal MIB weapon.

also you can pick up highly detailed toy Noisy Crickets on ebay. the metal recasts from the original go for hundreds of bucks.

i forgot to add that the toy ones go in a set complete with detailed Neuralyzer, and arent that much.

Well, you cant make em flash without electrocuting yourself.

To make a dummy one, find a tube-like thing. Id suggest those tube toothbrush holders. Theyre not too big. If you're looking just for something to carry around with you, you dont need to worry about cutting anything out to make buttons. Paint it silver (spray paint) and with some lightweight quick drying sculpting material---Crayola makes some nice stuff, Mold a rounded dome top. Make sure thats all silver
