TWO INTERNET ADS FOR THE DISCONTINUED
KNIGHTS TALE SWORD
(Please See MY Ad Below)

The Ulrich Sword (FX-13721)
From the movie "A Knight's Tale", this is the sword that first established William as a Champion while disguised as Sir Ulrich von Lichtenstein in hand-to-hand combat. Small wonder; it is just as effective in one hand as two.
Hand-and-a-half swords were also known as "bastard swords", because they were neither a two-handed sword, nor a one-handed sword, making them something in between. We just like the term "bastard sword".
Tempered, high carbon spring steel blade. Crossguard and pommel are steel. This magnificent hand-and-a-half sword has a full tang and a wooden handle covered in leather, which is wire wrapped for beauty and a strong fighting grip.
This sword is 48 3/4 inches overall with a 38 inch blade. Includes display plaque with the Phoenix Coat of Arms.

Ulrich Sword of Sir William Von Liechtenstein

This beautiful sword is 48" overall. It has a 38" unsharpened high carbon spring steel blade. Wood handle is leather wrapped, then wire wrapped for firm grip. Steel guard and pommel are etched and black washed. Shield shaped wall plaque emblazoned with rising phoenix coat of arms. This hand and a half style sword is a reproduction of the one used by Sir William Ulrich Von Liechtenstein.
List Price: $369.99

Yep, its out of stock and OUT OF PRODUCTION forever . . . .

However . . . . I have FOUR magnificent Ulric Von Liechtenstein Swords left. They are still safely stored in their original boxes. These gorgeous blades have not seen the light of day since they were first packed up at the factory over five years ago.

Naturally, I have a fifth blade that I unboxed long ago to enjoy for myself. Since I a swordsman as well as a sword maker, my Ulric broadsword does more than just hang on the wall. I have put it through its paces and must say that it exceeds ALL my expectations of a movie sword. This is the real thing! Rather than just producing a cheap imitation of a Hollywood Broad Sword, Factory-X commissioned a fully functional battle weapon to commemorate one of my favorite movies, A Knights Tale. When I first saw that blade wielded by Heath Ledger in the dueling ring I knew I had to have it!

To my surpise, this blade has a fine spring temper. The tang is reasonably thick and sturdy. Although it is possible to eventually force the pommel to be unscrewed, it takes considerable force to do so and under normal use, even battlefield use, the pommel should never budge. The hilt is further retained by a nut below the authentic fishtail pommel. The guard is long, without bsing cumbersome. The wire-wound grip is made of fine reddish leather. Williams changing stars are deeply engraved upon the pommel.
Although the Ulric sword is rather long, its two-handed grip and tapered blade design makes the weapon float in your hands. It is fast as can be. The dueling scene in Knights Tale did not really have to be artificially sped up. This sword truly moves like lightening. I just love it!

If you would like to purchase one of the last of these fully-functional movie collectables, I would be happy to mail in to you via the U.S. Postal Service. You can make payment upon pickup at your local post office; COD (Cash On Delivery). The sword comes with a beautiful shield-shaped wall mounting, with Ulrics rising phoenix emblazoned upon it.

However, if you would like to wear this sword during your next foray into a Medieval/Renaissance Faire or Living History Encampment, I would be happy to build a customized scabbard, hanger & belt system for the comfortable carriage of your new pride & joy. I will use oxblood dyed leather to match the swords reddish brown grip.

To prevent the tannic acid in the leather from corroding your blade, I recommend having your scabbard lined with sheeps wool, just as they did in the days of yore. The wools natural lanolin oil will keep your sword safe from rust caused by chemical attack, fingerprints or vapor condensation. Cushioned in a bed of soft wool, your sword will lie securely in its scabbard forever ready to spring into action.

Now, if you REALLY anticipate wielding your sword in defense of your ladys honor, or in your own defense for that matter, I can expertly sharpen your new sword. I will use an old foot-powered grinding wheel to set the edge bevel, then hand-hone it to a fine razors edge.

No matter how much, nor how little, customization you choose to order, your new Ulric sword will provide many years of enjoyment. In fact, as an heirloom quality replica I expect that many generations of your descendants will marvel at its quality and dream of the romantic era of chivalry and triumph that it represents.
