Come on, October 31st will jump right out of nowhere so let's see what the most heart pounding of the horror genre.

I should say Silent Hill 2 for the PS2 will be the 'living nightmare' when its released. A whole lot of fears can come out of this game, most importantly being left in the dark with only one source of light...your own flashlight. I can bare to face the fact of being left alone in the middle of nowhere, in the dark, without knowing what's breathing down my neck.

Also, I don't think there's any movie that I've seen lately that's based on horror. If there was a movie made based on the Silent Hill games, it might scare the hell out of anyone that watches it...if its done right.

I don't know what the movie was, but when I was very young, I remember this movie where a group of people on an airplane and they were being "haunted" by some entity or another. They were ordered to put the baby near a hole in the floor but instead, they put a doll there. The doll starts oozing this putrid green stuff. It ends when someone falls out of the plane, I guess as a sacrifice.

That movie killed any affection I had for dolls (and possibly babies now that I think of it). Course, it didn't help that my mother was helping my sister build a model of an eye at the time.

Well, "The Others," currently showing with Nicole Kidman, certainly ranks up there for me -- suspense and just-around-the-corner terror that are so tangible, you can almost feel them on your skin. And this movie made me jump twice. Now, I can eat a bowl of stewed tomatoes while watching a "Hellraiser" marathon at midnight on Halloween and not bat an eyelash. But I freaked twice during this movie. LOL

Other than that, I'd say "It" by Stephen King. A made-for-TV movie, but the writing was just so good, and Tim Curry was so damn demonic and insidious that the movie -- a miniseries, actually -- gave me nightmares for the first time in years.

{ ... for only those responsible ... }
Break the teeth in their mouths, O God;
tear out, O Lord, the fangs of the lions!
...
The righteous will be glad when they are avenged,
when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.
Then men will say,
"Surely the righteous still are rewarded;
surely there is a God who judges the earth."

D and Resident Evil.

Even though Resident Evil is much scarier, D did come out first. I remember my brother and I would play that game in the middle of the night with all the lights closed.... man those were the days.

Wow. Those survival horror games scare the living hell outta me. Resident Evil, Silent Hill. I've beaten every game in both series (except Outbreak File 2 in the Resident Evil franchise). Also, I gotta say the Chronicles of Riddick game was pretty freakin scary. With some of the best graphics of all time, and those damn monsters under the Butch Bay prison. WOW, that's scary.

Resident Evil is probably the best Scary Video Game that I ever played. Those damn zombies just came out of nowhere sometimes.

Movies that title goes to Pinhead. Good old Pinhead from Hellraiser. That movie scaried the ever loving crap out of me. But when I saw I was like 10 years so that might play into but I still get freaked out when I see Pinhead and his minions.

I know it's probably a little late for me to weigh in on this one, but the scariest movie/videogame whatever... is definitely: Silent Hill 2 for PS2 or XBox. Trust me, check it out.
