Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
May 16, 2003. This day was awesome!! I spent half my day waiting to go see this movie. School was nothing but waiting for me. Then I got home and my aunt had dropped off some advanced tickets to a 9:20pm showing later on in the night. I spent the time on Internet looking at reviews for The Matrix Reloaded, here on CountingDown, hearing all different opinions. Well, at about 9:10, my aunt picked us up and we went to the theater. It was exactly sold out of tickets for our showing. We luckily just walked right in, while I was still reminding myself that the seats were going to be packed. To my suprise, there actually still some seast left open for a few singles and doubles. So my aunt and her daughter, sat near the middle, and me, my uncle, my cousin, and my brother sat at the very top near the stepway. Well, I actually saw a few of my friends there, which was suprising, since they actual noticed me coming in. Friends from school, and church! LOL So, I got my drink and popcorn, sat back dowen and got ready for what I was about to experiance. This movie absolutely good sequel to the trilogy! But, there were a few scenes not needing some stuff, and mainly... bad ending. I mean honestly,
Ending on a shot of the guy who was taken over by Agent Smith and transported into the real world. Then, "To Be Concluded"
I think they could've ended it on a better shot, especially not an upside down view, I could barely recognize
the guy
Awesome special effects! At some points, I could tell that
Neo was CGI when fighting the hundreds Agent Smith
and at others, I couldn't. I also liked the fight sequences when they're slowed down a lot to show that the cast really worked hard to make things look convincing and real. Zion was really cool! Also, the highway chase scene, awesome! But, the coolest special effects in the entire movie is
when Neo is "doing his Superman thing"
The way the
ground circles around him when he's rendering the Matrix
. It's just great! Also, near the end, when he's
saving Trinity from falling to her death, which made everything around him follow him, since he was like a tornado, sucking everything along in his path to him. I think he definitely passed the sound barrier
. I give this movie an A! I can't wait 'til The Matrix Revolutions in November, jeez! It'll be great! Oh, for all you people who like finding movie mistakes. I found one that I saw in the movie. When
Neo is fighting the guys in the mansion, where the keymaker is being held, there's a part where one of the guys gets stabbed by Neo with a sword. The thing is he's stabbed then knocked into the marble railing, crashing through it and back on the ground, where Neo follows him down. When Neo stabs him, right when he's going through the marble railing, you can see the sword come out of the guy, with Neo still holding onto it. When he falls to the ground the sword is back in the guy, with Neo following him to the ground, landing on his feet (no doubt)
. Okay, now for all you who've read or heard about this movie, good or bad, see it for yourself and get your own opinion! Until my next review, see yahz!
