Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
The matrix isnt just a movie, its a reality sci-fi, that could be sci-nonfiction. Never have I seen a sci-fi movie with sooo much heart, sooo much storyline, soooo much development of the characters, with such a gripping and realistic theme, as the matrix. I expect, no, i unfathomably know that reloaded and revolutions will be not only praised and awarded, and reveled at years to come, but it will be the star wars of the 70's, the Extra Terrestrial of the 80's and the Titanic of the 90's. what all these movies had in common was there realisticness and human ability to relate to everyday life. Star Wars was a war of the stars, a galactic throw down that involved humans, and with the universe sooo big and eternal, you cant help asking yourself "could this exist, I think so. Luke is an everyday human that basically saves the universe from the dark powers". Theres a similarity with ET as well, everyones interest in alien life being out there and coming to us for help, it just gripped the audience for 20+ years now. And titanic, who couldnt relate to such a realistic tragedy, especially since no one in modern day is alive to tell about it. It put us on the boat with them, and we felt what they felt that cold erie night. The matrix is very much similar, though not in plot, to all three. There is this altered perception of reality that takes effect in this movie, that humans can go into the theater and be more or less indiffferent in which life style exists outside the theater. A true heroic story of realistic people taking on realistic enemies, that were basically made into existance through the peek of our civilization. Its ironic that the very tools the humans need to save the world, are what they are fighting against, technology!!!
