After watching the movie Equilibrium for the 100th time I'm convinced that he could have blown Reeves out of the water. The guy is an awesome actor.

Yep. He would be way better than Reeves, who can't act worth a crap. His only best character he ever play is Ted, which is almost more like who he is in real life.

I Don't know. The only movie that worked with Reeves playing himself was The Matrix. He seemed right for that movie. Bale would have overdone it with his anger.

I personally like reeves in the first matrix simply because it was so horribly acted that it actually seemed real (so maybe it was all intentional?).

Equilibrium is awesome and Bale is a pretty in that killer black suit, but I just don't see him falling for the Trinity or listening to Morpheus in any capacity, he doesn't have that look. They would really have to retool the character to fit Bale, and then it wouldn't really be the matrix, it would be the Baltrix.

That was ice cold. I like it.

Reeves is over rated. Greatly over rated. He's the male version of Michelle Rodriquez, they play the same person in every film they are in. It's just that the characters have different names because of a script.

I prefer Reeves in the Matrix he looks the part and if Bale was in those movies plus all the ones he is in now I might end up getting sick of seeing the same face on screen. It kind of spoils the continuity.

I like Batman but from Batman to Terminator feels a bit like movie hopping. Who wants Bale as the Kraven in Spiderman 4? See can feel a bit cross pollunated.

I still imagine what the matrix would have been like if Will Smith had been Neo (which he was supposed to.)

It would probably be like an unfunny version of MIB. Lol.

I too really like Reeves in the "Neo" role, he was perfect for it. The way that he plays Neo when he's still hooked into the Matrix is just perfect, he's so subdued and disconnected, as if he doesn't feel like the world he's living in his real, as if he's just going through the motions of it all. Christian Bale, while awesome in his own right, I don't think would've been quite right for the role. And as for Will Smith, the movie would have been vastly different with him as Neo. Though it most likely would have been pretty amazing.

They call 'em fingers, but I've never seen 'em fing.....................
