It is following the trends of the first X-Men and Dare-Devil
X-Men -
$7,144,093
+64.7% / -65.6%
$82,994,152 / 8
DareDevil-
$5,401,164
+183.6% / -64.7%
$56,780,713 / 8
Fantastic Four-
Est. $6,550,000
+42.2% / -69.2%
$83,962,000 / 8
This is only an estimate as well so it could be wrong. Last week they said 20 million opening day and it grossed 21 million
The Hulk fell almost 76.5% this is in now way another Hulk. The Hulk sucked this movie in my opinion is one of the best Marvel movies ever. I do not understand what all the fuss is about. It was only expected to make 30 million opening weekend it made 26 million more. It was way ahead of expectations.

wow such optimism. you should be a motivational speaker.
so the movie took only $6.5M friday. so waht?
its another hulk? im sorry for asking such a dumb question but did the hulk movie lose money box office-wise or in any other way?
Hulk Grossed 43% more than production and marketing cost.
based on what I have been able to find. No Comic based movie has had a sequal, without grossing 96% over production and marketing cost.
naturally I may have over looked something. but it is a good guide line.
Fear not, I think FF still has some wind in its sails!!!
well it did post more profits then DD, punisher and so far F4 (it might change though).
it cost $137M and the movie made $250M. thats a very decent profit. it nearly doubled.
punisher gets a sequel, DD got a sequel (sorta) with elektra, and the 96% mark is a bit off. there are a lot of variables. the hulk's weakest performance was the boxoffice inwhich it nearly doubled its cost. the hulk overall produced $1 Billion in revenue approx from the game, toys, dvd sales and other merchendises. so the hulk movie didnt flop in any category.
so far as far as im concerned, the Hulk is the first Serious Marvel movie which isn't under the category of "superhero" and actualy tries to be psycological. its an obvious gamble, but thats why i loved the hulk movie and the character. so i am not disappointed at all. the sequel will be done and thats all i personaly want.
Watch something in the way it was created. never assume a remade version is better if u havent seen the original
Bruce Banner:"You found me"
Betty Ross: "You werent hard to find"
Bruce Banner: "Yes I was"
The coolest line in an incredible movie
Green Mean SMASHING Machine!
I am a Hulk Legioner forever!
Hulk Legioner #2!

i guess its a matter of opinion. most people liked the movie and the box office is there.
it will get a sequel. and hopefully it will surpass this one.
suppose it tumbles fast, better then be on top and fall then never be on top at all.
such movies as elektra and punisher never were on top, yet overall, they havent even lost any money.
its definately not catwoman. no marvel made movie is anywhere close to catwoman.
all the batman movies made over $100M but i would rather see catwoman then see batman and robin or batman forever.
all the marvel movies are way better then pretty much anything DC movies have produced, (superman 1, 2 and batman begins not included)
the flash B movie was garbage, super-girl, catwoman, batman 3,4, superman 3,4 are all junk.
these movies which are the blade franchise, X-films, spiderman movies, The Hulk, punisher & elektra and F4 are all gold compared to the DC movies.
Chris Reeves and the first bruce wayne (forgot the actor's name) are the only reason DC has made any kind of movie to date.
so if batman 3,4 and superman 3,4 were made, there is no valid reason at all not to make F4-2, Hulk 2 and punisher 2 among all the others. Watch something in the way it was created. never assume a remade version is better if u havent seen the original
Bruce Banner:"You found me"
Betty Ross: "You werent hard to find"
Bruce Banner: "Yes I was"

Actually (per Box Office Mojo) Hulk production cost was $137,000,000.00 and Marketing cost was $35,000,000.00
that brings its cost up to $172,000,000.00
it made $245,284,946.00 World wide.
$73mil is 43% of $172mil
Based on Box Office Mojo's information
It's Clobberin' Time
"FireLord" of the Fantastic Four Club
"Dr Strange" of the Spidey Club
"Riley" of the Buffy/Angel Club

$73mil is 43% of $172mil
Based on Box Office Mojo's information
and? according to the vast majority of opinion saying the hulk movie sucked, the movie turned profit.
the hulk sold 6 million dvd's. i forget if its in the first day or the first week, but even if its a week, 6M * $25 = $150M just in first week dvd sales. the game showed such awsome sales that a sequel is coming out.
so either way u look at it, the movie posted profit in every category.
which brings me back to my orginal point.......... the hulk movie and merchendising didn't fail at all. every aspect of the movie showed profit. it simply underperformed.
the movie was awsome, the movie took risks, the movie wasn't a superhero movie and it had incredible CGI. the best human cgi in the buisness.
there is nothing at all disappointing about the movie. so it had a huge drop off in the 2nd weekend. big deal.
profit is profit. they took major risks and still more then made money. so i dont see any kind of a reason to undervalue the movie. Watch something in the way it was created. never assume a remade version is better if u havent seen the original
