Well I pretty much agree with BMW-666's review. 10 out of 10 for me too.
I enjoyed this movie tons. It was awesome. Not better than War of the Worlds, of couse, but then again, it's not like they're the same genres. I will even dare to say that this movie entertained me more than X-Men did (the first x-men). But perhaps it's because I didn't know F4 as much as X-Men, so for X-Men I was expecting what I had knowledge of.
But back to F4. I've heard from critics that there's too much discussion about their powers and whatnot, but that's actually what I LIKED about it. I liked the fact that there were intentions to "study" their powers and get the feel of them. I liked how they were using them for even "corny" situations. It was something I wish I saw more of in the X-Men movies. I WANT ORIGINS. I want to experience people's reactions to their new powers. That doesn't mean that I don't want any action at all, of course. It just means I want to understand the powers as much as the characters. And fortunately, this movie had perfect action. Not too little and not too much. Sure I could have had more fight scenes at least, but the ones in the movie still can suffice.
Visual effects were awesome, especially for the Human Torch. Damn he was cool, and so was his acting! Chris Evans may not be too well-known, but I sure as hell am a fan already. He did great in Cellular and now this. He did an awesome job. My friend, who knows heaps more about Fantastic Four and their personalities told me that he played Johnny Storm perfectly. He claimed that his personality was exactly how it was in the comics, how he'd pick on Ben constantly. So we both enjoyed him a lot.
I was a little iffy about certain things, namely when it jumped from one scene to another. For some parts it kinda lost me because the scenes transitioned too fast (like Doom quickly ending up Reed's apartment seconds after Reed is taken to Medical facilities, and then magically getting into contact with Ben to come back to the place after he had previously stormed out), but it's forgiveable and nothing major. The acting was good, the dialogue was good (even the supposed "corny" lines were good). I absolutely LOVED the character interactions.
All in all, a very cool and fun movie. I can't wait for a sequel if there surely is one.

I babble and I vent.
I can grumble or can spew,
and then my day is spent.

I saw this movie on Saturday and I thought it was just OK. It had its moments don't get me wrong, but overall it was just OK.
Personally I couldn't buy Alba as Sue, I just kept seeing her as every character she's played before. It was also hard to buy Sue and Johnny as brother and sister, there really was no sibling relationship played out between the two. I mean there was much more of a sibling relationship between Johnny and Grim and they aren't even related. Though she looked unbelievable in the costume and in some other scenes.
As for Ioan, I thought he did a good Richards, he played the know way too much about everything role pretty well. Thats actually one of the reasons why I don't like the FF comics, but he had it down. Though the special stretching effects looked terrible, but I have always said no matter how good the special effects are it will always look bad.
Chiklis I thought did a good job, and the Thing was written well. Almost everything about the Thing was done well, except for the make-up. I liked the statuette that the company came up with( click here ) but the movie's actual result just looked like a guy in foam rubber.
Chris Evans did a spectacular job as the Torch and the relationship between him and the Thing was great. However I thought the special effect on him were a bit off but I still think they were good because I am aware that doing fire with CGI is one of the more difficult effects you can do.
And finally Julian McMahon was an awsome villian, I just didn't like the fact that they made him a billionare and have no diplomatic immunity, but hey what are ya going to do?
Overall I give it a 6, maybe a 7 out of 10. I don't think its in the caliber of The X-men, Spider-man, and Blade franchises, its more of a movie fans of the comic could truly appreciate like Daredevil and Hulk(both I happened to think were OK too, but still bought lol).
