Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
I think Dean Caine and Teri Hatcher would have been good choices, I like the fact that they found an Actor with the Superman "Look". However, he's a bit puny in the body. Unlike Chris Reeves, I don't think he's spent enough time in the gym. I'm glad his last name isn't Reeves. Tom Wellig, although he plays a fabulous Clark Kent on Smallville, and should continue to do so , He's still a little young (looking) for the Movies.
I'm not sure why the rest of the cast has no resemblance what-so-ever to their Cartoon counterparts - (a blonde Lois?) The script seems hard to understand. If Superman goes "away" for six years... what happened to Clark Kents job at the Planet?
Also, for those of us Superman fans who listen to what happens in the movie... The first Movie, at 18, Kal-el leaves and travels to the North, where he watches the construction of the Krypton-styled Fortress of Solitude. Here he journeys with Jor-El's image to the outer reaches of space and spends 12 years learning. (He's now 30 years old). All the things that happen to him and the city will take place, we assume, in the next Month to a year. Now he's going away for another 6 years? He'll be 36. Lois is supposed to wait 6 years? There had better be some fantastic special effects to make this picture work!
