January 28, 2002 — Matthew Lillard talked to Entertainment Weekly about what we can expect in the live action adaptation of Scooby Doo.

"We address all of those little suspicions you have about the group. Is Velma gay? Why does Fred wear that ascot? And there's a scene where you hear reggae, you see smoke coming out of the Mystery Machine, and you see a sign that reads, 'Pot: $5.00' And you pan across and there's a clay pot there."

Yikes! Lillard also revealed the film will play a lot with fan expectations. "It's 'The Brady Bunch' meets 'Ghostbusters'".
