well folks, I saw Weaver on a talk show and she cleared up the whole situation. she has no plans to make a new alien or alien vs. predator film. oh well. we can all still dream can't we?

Thank god no alien 5 they should have never made the last 2.But who know's,the power's that be could, might have a change of heart.Let's hope not.

I'm not sure I'd like to see another Alien film. Although I saw some redeeming features in the last one, I was dissapointed by it (and I liked 3!) and I just don't see anything good coming from the way the last one ended although I think Whats-her-name (young android) could be an interesting replacement for Weaver.

They NEED to do a 5, for the sake of the franchise. Lamia made a good point, that Resurrection had redeeming points (and I, too, love Alien3). I think they need to end it off with one last film and make the ending solid and not to be vague at all.

Imagine an Alien 5 set on earth. Durring ressurection you have noticed that there was a deformed ripley lying on a table and Ripley destroyed it. Well she had a scar on her chest from removing a chestburster... say they removed the queen and sent it to a secret facility on Earth and they get loose and spread. Then Ripley and the female Android arrive on earth and the entire planet is covered in Aliens!

they do need to make one finale last Alien movie to end the series strong since the last to (especially resurrection) were not so well done. if they do decide to make the fith installment of the series it shoud be set prior to Alien. It should start from the origin of the beasts, this would make it interesting because it would allow for new material not seen before. also, to make a great movie you need a great director. i think that the reason why alein vs. predator was so awfull was because of the director and his style of movie making. the Alien saga does not work with anderson's type of film making style. i think that anderson is a great director an made a good movie out of resident evil but thats because resident evil fit his type of movie style; alien does not. a good director is a must in order to get a great movie. Dir. Scott said that if the right script came up for an alien 5, he would do it. that leads me to my next point. both alien and aliens had a good story. everything about the two movies was raw and gave the viewers a sense of possibility. in alien resurrection the story lacked depth. it was a superficial story. as i watched the movie, i became very interested in several things that i saw but the movie never went into them in detail, or even a little bit. i am a huge alien fan and even though the last three movies(alien 3, Alien resurrection , and AVP) were not so good. if they do decide tomake another part i really hope they put all the time and energy they have into making an excellent movie.

Actually i have a really good idea for alien 5 which doesn't need Ripley in it (or maybe for the beginning). Anyways it should be that earth was destroyed by aliens that came to earth. Another good idea is that Ripley and the other people (forget their names) find a bunch of humans living underground and they attack the alien home world.(which will be a jungle-like place)

Anyone here into films?? Thats a stupid question to ask on here, but at the same time not, casue were all still here on our asses not trying to make films good again.

Or maybe movies like these should not be made by fans. Like BB and TDK, I mean look how well those movies are
