This news was first reported in a British tabloid, so the likelihood of it being entirely made up is extremely high, but it's still a fun "what could have been" piece of fantasy news... Before Indiana Jones 4 got moving, did George Lucas approach Harrison Ford about playing Han Solo one more time in a Star Wars spin-off?

The Daily Star newspaper puts it this way, "George wanted Harrison to play Indy but cleverly sounded him out about playing Hans Solo instead. Harrison was horrified. After that he was delighted to be playing Indy again. He told George he just couldn't face being stuck in a spaceship with Chewbacca again."

The report claims that Ford was offered $20 million to take the gig, but he balked and opted for Indy instead.

The whole report doesn't pass the smell test if you ask us. Maybe there's a grain of truth to it and the whole idea morphed into the planned Star Wars TV series? Or maybe it's entirely fiction. Either way, a Han Solo movie is the stuff of fanboy dreams. But we'll settle for Indy 4!
