does anyone know if lucas films is planning on releasing the prequel trilogy in a box set like they did for the OT?

Of course they will. My best guess is that they'll release the PT in April or May in time for Summer and then release all 6-films in one mega boxset next Christmas.

yea they probably will.
what I did was bought the original trilogy(4, 5 and 6 for 40 bucks, not bad ) and then bought episode 3 and then i got 1 and 2 as a birthday present

by the way, my favorites are 3,4 and 5

I really want them to. I was thinking that it might come out in summer or sometime this year. But I went to HMV and asked them and they said maybe not until 2007!!!

But it think that may be possible since it will be the 30 year anniversery of the first STAR WARS film.

I wouldn't agree with this. It would make sense if they released the first three (1,2 & 3) before this time (perhaps this year) and then release all six of the movies in 2007. I believe that would work out really good.

By the way, if they make a box set for the first three, I hope it matches the trilogy(4,5 & 6) that came out in 2004. That would be EXTREMLEY WICKED!!!
