It's that time of year again; the days are getting shorter, the nights are getting longer, the weather's getting cooler and soon they'll actually be something worthwhile on the television on sunday afternoons. That's right, it's almost time for football season and that means it's time for my official annual football game thread!
But this year is special, and bittersweet, because This year I'm taking over. That's right, after this there may not be another...

For those that aren't in the know, every year when the football season gets ready to kick off, I make a game thread where the posters on this board can pick their favorite teams that play in the NFL. And with any game there are rules that come with it in order to make the game fair (and less confusing on my part) as possible. And the rules are as follows:
1. Each poster can pick a maximum of two teams
2. The same team can only be picked by two people. After that team has been picked by two people that team is no longer available to anyone else. First come first served.
3. You have until 12 o'clock in the afternoon (12noon PST) of September the 4th to choose a team or teams. After that time absolutely NO PICKS FOR A TEAM CAN BE MADE! If you haven't joined the game by that time then...sorry. I can't have people asking to join in mid-way through the season, that just wouldn't be fair to everyone who's been playing from day one.
After all the picks have been made and the season starts, whoever has the team with the best record wins the game. That means just because you happen to pick the team that wins the superbowl doesn't mean that team wins the game. The team with the most wins overall wins the game and the bragging rights and is also crowned FOOTBALL GOD OF THE MB! But there's more.

This year we'll be doing a week in review of the top picks and losers and such. So this is it, the new start of the football thread games. Good luck to you all and may the best team win. I'll start by picking my own teams.
