March 31, 2002 — Luke Goss talks about playing Nomak and being in Blade 2:
Goss underwent tough training to get ready for his role, but still found
it
intimidating to go into battle with Snipes.
"It's intimidating because, one, it's Blade and, second, it's Wesley
Snipes
- Wesley and me.
"When he's charging at you in the outfit and it's Wesley Snipes, you've
got
to pull up your socks.
"But, you know, if you are conscientious, he deserves you to bring
something
to the table and my bringing to the table was 10 weeks working out.
"Every day stretching, working really hard - days when I was either in
the
gym, or in the ring, working the bag.
"Making sure the character had everything down, so that when we go toe
to
toe there's not a bone in Snipes' body that says 'Why did we talk to this
guy
and why did I approve him?'."
Goss admits he was childishly overwhelmed by the chance to work with
Snipes:
"When he walked on set for the first time as Blade, I was like 'Man this
is
Blade this is so cool. I'm on the set of Blade II with Wesley Snipes and it
doesn't get much cooler than that'."
