February 1, 2001 — As early as 1997 Black Panther was touted as a big screen production. This was before Blade hit screens and originally a Wesley Snipes movie anyway. Now Amon Ra, Snipes production company, is working with David Goyer on a script. Goyer penned Blade and Blade 2. BP was part of a multi-movie deal with Artisan that included Iron Fist, Deadpool, and Morbius. Blade 2 is in production right now but is on the track for the next Snipes vehicle.
