Okay, Batman Begins is opening soon, Supes is next year, Wonder Woman is in development and so is Flash. No news yet on Green Lantern. All that is needed after those first four are GL, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter and you have the basic JLA Big 7! Is this what WB is working towards? I hope so! That'd rock! Imagine a JLA movie!!! X-Men? HA! Fantastic Four? HA! If this is headed towards a JLA movie - they're finished!

No, it would never happen. Time Warner isn't smart enough. They couldn't even get a Superman/Batman film to work. Hell, for the last 2 films they couldn't get just Batman to work.

as cool as it would be to see this, i doubt it will happen. it would cost to much money to do one. 200 million was expected for Batman/Superman alone. another thing is screen time. it would be difficult to write a script were every important member got adequate screen time. the third thing is the actors. we can expect Christian Bale and Brandon Routh and Ryan Reynolds (if he gets the part) to star in three movies maximum. maybe four but in no way would they want to do a team up movie. these roles are going to make them all five times as famous so they will probably want to do other things besides JLA. warner should have gone with JLA first then do spin offs like what X-MEN is doing with wolverine and magneto. as good as this movie would be i can't see it happening. at least not in this wave of superhero movies. maybe a Batman/Superman: World's Finest film but not JLA.

1. No budget. It was for tv so the budget was insanely small. With a movie that has this many super powered people, the budged needs to be upward of $100 million to handle all the FX shots.

2. No Big 3. I think fans would have forgiven the bad special effevts if film centered on Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman with the b-listers as background characters. But it isn't the JLA without the Big 3.

3. Poor writing with no knowlwge of comics. Obviously for a feature film you would not get writers whose biggest credit was doing the occasional episode of Barney Miller or Knight Rider. They would bring in actual writers and probably have a comic guy act as an adviser as Marvel does with Arad or the new Batman film has done by bringing in Goyer to write the script.

You change those 3 things and the film would have been great.

But as I said, those reasons have nothing to do with a feature film JLA. I think a JLA movie in theaters could be a great idea if done right.

Who would the villian be if they did do a JLA film? I would think the Secret Society but it could be like a Legion of Doom or something. I don't know.

Yup...

But let me put it this way.

The WB has done a couple things right lately. Namely with Batman Begins and Constantine.

However, let's not forget that this IS the WB. The ones who butchered the Superman and Batman series. The ones who gave us such beauties as Steel and Catwoman.

So the odds are that if they even tried to make JLA it would become a disastrous mess.

So I'm sorta hopin' they never even have the IDEA to do it.



As much of the country is left stranded for Christmas due to a storm, I wonder what are their thoughts on the credibility of Global Warming? HAHA...
