October 3, 2001 — It looks like 'Ali' will be moved from December 7th to Christmas Day (December 25th- a Tuesday).
Columbia Pictures' Jeff Blake said: "We figure it's a big event playdate for a big event movie."
He told the Hollywood Reporter: "We'll go right to the heart of the holiday season and hopefully make a big impact."
