That's a wrap!

SUBMITTED BY Steve Behnke

June 7, 2001 — Dark Horizons has recieved an update on the filming of 'Ali.' Here's what it had to say.

Screen International reports that the Michael Mann/Will Smith project wrapped this week after a six week shoot in Mozambique's Maputo, which doubled for the city of Kinshasa, Uganda for a re-enacting of the famous Ali/Cassius Clay "Rumble in the Jungle" fight of the early 1970's. Thing is though the stories coming out of there have been kind of quirky - truckloads of Evian water were shipped in to 'provide rain', 40,000 extras in various scenes were cardboard cutouts, and rumour has it the budget has now reached a whopping total of $150 million.
