Hiya, folks !
Geez, I can't believe that NO ONE has posted on this board yet. Does no one care about how this movie is handled.
Anyway, for those that are unfamiliar: The Boondocks is a daily comic strip that satirzing the social issues of today--particularly racial issues--as seen through the eyes of its pre-pubescent heros. The main characters are Huey Freeman, an afro-wearing, self-proclaimed Black power revolutionary; Riley Freeman, Huey's younger brother who's into gangsta rap and wannabe "thugging"; Jasmine DuBois, a bi-racial girl (half-black, half-white) trying to find her place in the world; and Michael Caesar, a dread-locked, light-hearted Brooklyn-born wannabe rapper. Other characters include their parents, grandparents, etc.
Anyway, below is today's most recent strip.

| Sounds to me as though there are actually nay-sayers who object to the idea of Will Smith playing Ali, which seems a little ignorant, for lack for a nicer sounding word. O.K. so his last two flicks haven't measured up to squat; but, look at this cat. Talk about method acting. The first time I saw snapshots of Smith in training for this, I couldn't believe it was really him under all that MASS. Along with the facial prosthetics, he IS Ali. Period. After all, if the genuine article, himself, didn't think that Smith could do it, he wouldn't have asked him personally to do it. I'm personally looking forward to seeing Smith step up to the Shrine podium on March, 2002 excepting his first Oscar for best actor. How bout' you? -"You can't be afraid of the wind....." Captain Jonathon Archer, 2151 A.D.- -".....just the person in front of you who choses to BREAK it." SilentBob 2001 A.D.- |
