September 10, 2001 — Stiller convinced the MPAA to give him a PG-13:
Ben Stiller has emerged victorious in a ratings-board battle over a wacky orgy scene in his upcoming film, ``Zoolander.''
``I prefer to call it the love fest,'' Stiller told the Los Angeles Times.
The scene includes Stiller, a Maori tribesman, a midget, Owen Wilson and Stiller's wife, Christine Taylor.
The Motion Picture Association of America's ratings board insisted on an R rating even after Stiller - the film's star, director and co-writer - sent the board recut versions five times.
In the end Stiller convinced the board the scene was more silly than sexy, and the film received a PG-13 rating.
