December 16, 2001 — A line in "Vanilla Sky" by Tom Cruise has started some talk from
fans. It has to deal with a Beatle who died recently. Thanks Squirk

A casual comment by Tom Cruise's character in "Vanilla Sky" has
taken on unintended resonance. Audiences in preview screenings gasped
when David (Cruise) comments on his favorite Beatle, saying, "I
always liked George." Says director Cameron Crowe, "The response from
the audience was audible. It was like an ache." He said he and Cruise
considered scrapping the line but decided it was a fitting tribute to
Harrison. |
