Austin Powers in Goldmember “I love GOLD” — The Maverick [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I looked forward to this from the moment I heard they were making it. Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... This movie was hilarious. I loved it much more than the first 2, and I have been an Austin Powers fan since the begining. I saw a critic this morning who said the jokes were fresh in the the first 2, but worn out by this one, and I couldn't disagree more. Their are called "running jokes" and if the guy didn't have a rod up his butt, he would have found them funny. They were executed perfectly, and the new jokes are just as good. Unfortunatly, I didn't go for Goldmember. It is a great title, but I disliked the character. I got the feeling Mike Myers didn't go for Goldmember as well as he did Austin, Dr. Evil, and Fat Bastard. So in short, Goldmember as a character fell short, but Goldmember as a movie is a HUGE success. DVD Review: N/A Thoughts on the DVD release of this movie... Nothing Entered Yet!
