'Austin Powers in Goldmember' grabbed an estimated $71,450,000 at 3,613
theaters, marking the biggest opening for a comedy and for the month of
July. Avoiding the dreaded second sequel slump, it handily topped the
$54,917,604 start of the last movie 'The Spy Who Shagged Me'...
Road to Perdition was number 2 with $11 million. Stuart Little 2 was number 3 with $10.7 million.
