It didnt do anything at the box office, but I have to admit I love Joyride thats the Paul Walker/Leelee Sobieski/Steve Zahn thriller about a crazed truckie who goes after some fresh meat on the highway I think its a great little thriller. Its not John Dahls best, but its definitely one of the road thrillers most overlooked category members.
Now, according to Bloody Disgusting, a sequel is in the works.
In Joyride 2 : End of the Road, four young adults (Melissa, Bobby, Kayla, Nik), on the road to a concert in Las Vegas take a lethal side trip -- and when their beater of a car breaks down, they make the fatal error of stealing a car belonging to depraved, homicidal, sadistic, maniacal, sociopathic trucker Rusty Nail...
The project likely a direct-to-video project was penned by James Robert Johnston and Bennett Yellin (Dumb and Dumber).
