| Moulin Rouge wins 2 Oscars |
SUBMITTED BY MovieGal March 30, 2002 — Undeniably, Moulin Rouge was the most stunningly artistic movie of the year. The 2001 Academy Awards Ceremony proved that on Sunday, March 24th, 2002, when Catherine Martin won Oscars for Art Direction and Costume Design. Although the film didn't win any of the "big" awards, director Baz Luhrman (also Catherine Martin's husband) certainly got his due. |
