Based on the comic book series Dark Town, Monkeybone is about a cartoonist who goes into a coma and is faced with his alter-ego cartoon creation called Monkeybone, as well as various monsters and creatures who don't want him to escape back to the real world. The movie is directed by Henry Selick who had previously done The Nightmare Before
Christmas and James and the Giant Peach.
