this by far was the worst movie i have ever seen in my entire life. If was horrible, i almost walked out. There was like no real plot. The only real conflict was[SPOILER] saving that girl [/SPOILER] they never devloped any of the characters. Do not go to this movie unless u go stoned it was horrible.

It was a very enjoyable movie. I don't know what I would have thought of it if I hadn't read the books. But even if i hadn't, I think I still would have liked it. Sam Rockwell was a solid choice for Beeblebrox and Alan Rickman made Marvin so believable. I thought it was great. If you didn't like it than you just don't appreciate clever humor. But again, this is just one person's opinon.

I haven't read the books, but now I want to! I loved the movie, though I didn't understand everything (maybe because there was nothing important to understand). And like you, I think Marvin was believable (even if I don't know what he's supposed to be like in the books) and... cute.

For those who don't know me (which means for most of you), I have to tell you I'm the galaxy's biggest Gollum fan! If anyone else thinks he's cute, please write to me so I can see I'm not the only one and show my friends that I'm not totally crazy...

Yeah, I agree. My favorite scenes from the book were dead on, and the ones they left out, were ok by me. Zaphod was not what I imagined granted, but he was still good. Adaptations will NEVER be 100% accurate, so just get over it. Even LotR had plenty of IMPORTANT things they completely left out. British humor, for many, has always been difficult to grasp. I hate Montey Pithons Holy Grail. But I love Shawn of the Dead. Some people get it, some people dont. I guess I get half of it.

I heart Shaun of the Dead. It was a little more serious than I expected it to be, but it was still great.
