I've read the first three and am currently in the middle of the fourth. I think I liked the third one the best so far, even though it lacked Marvin. This fourth one seems kinda fishy, and quite frankly, I don't have that strong of an interest in it. When I first started reading the books it tooks me a while to get used to the way things occurred. They were just very fast paced and didn't leave me with much satisfaction with the way each one ended. I hope the movie stays true to the book in a lot of ways, but I also hope that it let's me care for the characters more. My favorite character is Marvin simply because his attitude is the most realistic. I don't even know why I'm typing all this, I guess I just wanted to say that I'm not enjoying the books as much as I thought that I would. Do they get any better?

The first and original is the best, for pure shock value.

It will be interesting to see if the movies have the same splash.

I like the first one best by far, although I love the confused looks on peoples faces when they read the title "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

The first, I think. But it's been a while since I've read them.

I'd say first or second. They're classics. The third is OK, forth isn't that great, fifth is downright bad, but the ending is alright

How many of of the books will the movie cover? Just one, or will it be the first 2? That'd be sweet.

Also, if its only first, will there be more?

my sig was from long ago. It's gone now.
