I stopped trusting movie critics a long time ago. All they care about are independant art films about gay cowboys eating pudding and discussing their feelings. Seriously though, you can't take anything the critics say too seriously. My local paper had two different articles on Sin City- one in the arts & Entertainment section, and another in the movie reviews. The two articles were done by different critics, and the two couldn't have disagree more. Everything the first guy loved about the movie was exactly what the other hated about it. I havn't been able to read the review due to the bandwidth issue mentioned by Merri, but I'd be shocked if the reviewer has ever read the novels or heard the radio show. Every review I've read of Sin City (good or bad) included an admision that they hadn't bothered to read any of Frank Miller's graphic novels before seeing the film. Today's journalists are so lazy it's absurd. They think that as long as they admit to being lazy bastards that it makes being so okay.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

He sounds like those whiny LOTR fan boys that complained about every little thing that wasn't in the movie. When the rest of us saw it - we loved it - and I bet the same thing will happen here.

Plus, I've already read a ton of good reviews. even moriarty on Aint it cool said he loves it - and they love to bash movies there.

I allowed myself to get the jist of the review..."it sucked"...fine whatever. I'm still going to see it. All articles I've read about this film has been hyping it up, noting it's brilliance.

I guess there's always going to be somebody who will greatly dislike the film. :\ Not going to stop my attendance.

I read the first page of it... I don't want to be spoiled too much. I'm still going to see the movie, obviously, but it's sort of what I feared- that the plot is going to be completely different.

I aint tryin to diss this movie, but there is honestly no way im seeing it unless im forced... lol j/p, it seems comedic enough to see, i just want to see the part where they are like by mountains and the shovels or w/e start popping outa the ground hittin them in the face, lol
