Down To Earth “horrible!” — PantherX20 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... ...... Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... knew I should've bought a bunch of sleeping pills with this movie. Chris Rock...what can be said about him... He is annoying...he is rude...he is annoying..he is boring and yes...he is annoying. The majority of the cast was great...with the exception of the lead...being Chris and the two housekeepers. Everybody else was fantastic...Chris just sucked for about 80 percent of the movie. The best jokes were with the rest of the cast...Chazz Palimenteri is perfect as always in every role...especially as the thug angel. He will never be able to outlive his tough guy image...even if he is an angel. Eugene Levy...very funny. Greg Germann...ok, but Chris just sucked. So much could've been done with his character in terms of action, dialoque, humor...well everything. The rest of the crew was good. The house was great...beautiful...damn, I wish I lived there. This film needed more action or more comedy with Chazz and Eugene. There could be an entire script with those two alone. Infact...this movie could've done without Chris Rock to begin with. Do I hate Chris Rock??? NO...he just lacks... He shows little emotion except anger for the black nation against white people...it's in every single movie he does...and it's boring as sin. There is soooo much more he could do... Chris Rock is supposed to be the next Eddie Murphy...no way....Eddie Murphy is way better...even when he is rude and obnoxious. I'm quite sure that the producers made their money multiple times over with this release...but for their next venture...do the viewers a favour. If the producers make anotehr film, and they happen to cast Chris Rock...give him some appeal...give him some life and some depth. If the producers make another movie with Chazz...great...looking forward to it. He does good performances...humor, tough guy roles, gripping heart wrenching performances...too bad he's always the heavy.
