I've seen the new 007 adventure last night in Paris

Iwas so excited to see it, in a huge screening room !!

This Bond film has many qualities and some flaws...

Madonna's song is definitly horrible and has nothing of a Bond theme... The direction of Tamahori abuses of some accelarated movements of camera and slow motions...

But Brosnan is better and better as Bond, the vilains are weel written and interesting characters, the plot is "bondesque", and the Bond Girls are sexy (ah ! Halle Berry coming out of the water !!!)

One good Bond

I found it very disappointing.

First of all, the way they changed the traditional Bond opening- it's a minor change that ruins it.

Then the action carrying on during the opening credits-that was irritating.

Do we ever hear the words "Bond... James Bond" ? Maybe they just flew past me. Or maybe they didnt... Same with "Vodka Martini- shaken, not stirred."

The plot got v. v. v. v. v. v. v. v. silly, and the CGI 45 minutes from the end... dont get me started. I just hope that they don't make these mistakes in Bond 21.

It was pretty good in my opinion. The Madonna cameo wasn't at all good. She ruined the moment. Halle Berry did a good job, and the gadgets were all cool (especially the car)!

The famous Bond. James Bond is in the film... I can't tell you when exactly, but I perfectly remember it...

It is true that the song sequence, along with Madonna's song, is bad, but the opening sequence before it is beautiful.

Actually, you're right. I saw it again the other day with a bunch of friends (yes, I DO have some! ), and it's at the start of the fenching scene. But still, it didn't make a lasting impression on me. And I gotta agree, the Hovercraft scene IS good. But Bond being captured kinda ruins it. He's supposed to be so good at his job that he CAN'T be caught.

I can't agree with you on the "caught" issue. I think that it's very important that Bond is shown has a vulnerable man, and not only the super spy you can't catch or kill. If the audience is thrilled by the Bond adventures, it's also because he sometimes get caught. By the past, he's also been caught, the only difference here is that
without the help of the MI-6 and CIA (or NSA ?), he would have stayed a prisonner til his death probably
BUt I think it was a good idea. Showing a vulnerable Bond, looking for revenge.

I mean I rolled my eyes and made a "boned the director to get a cameo" gesture to myself. She didn't have to be in it, she just got mad that marrying Guy Richie didn't boost her image for as long as she had hoped. The song was acceptable though, I let it slip by.

BTW did Bond say he wanted his martini shaken not stirred in the movie? I agree with the last guy who asked that question. I don't think I recall but I still thought that this installment was not the best but good.

I think the New Bond Film was great, no questions asked, yes he said Shaken not Stirred and Bond.....James Bond, and I think it did follow the traditional bond film. It had something new in it,(MAINLY THE CAR WAS FREAKIN AWSOME) and the little gadgets. Its allways a laugh when Q and 007 get togather in the film and 007 makes jokes about Q's inventions, I don't think I saw 1 thing that differed from the Bond Legacy.........besides, the Bond bieng captured, which really isn't any differt, Bond is Captured and or cornered in EVEN ONE OF THE FILMS AND ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHER WISE DOESN"T NO WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!! So there I feel better now.
