Doom “They'll never get better” — commieh8er [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I can't believe how stupid Hollywood is. Why do they think thay you have to completely change the story when you adapt a videogame into a movie? I know Tomb Raider or Mortal Combat weren't the greatest of movies, but they are the best VIDEOGAME movies ever (not the sequals, tho. they're garbage) mostly because they stayed completely true to thier source material. Final Fantasy didn't. Neither did Resident Evil, or Alone in the Dark, or Super Mario Bros, or every other videogame movie, and they all sucked because they weren't true to thier source. The original storys were what attracted people to the games, why do you have to change it for the movie? I hope they never make a Metal Gear Solid movie, because no one will make it right.
