| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
|
i am looking very forward to doom and i love the fact that the rest of the huge gamers out there are very much into this imminent release. The thing that i am not looking forward to is another 2 hour-long sci fi piece of crap. what i want to have happen is, for the movie i hope that they developers are going to take the road less traveled and make the "From scratch" approach with the making of this film and follow no one but themselves. there are only a select few directors that have taken that path and they are all my favorite directors and they are Stanley Kubrick, George Lucas, (60's and 70's George) david fincher, Tim burton, the wachowski brothers and a few others just to name a few they took science fiction movies to new heights and just because the movie is based on a video game doesn't mean that the movie has to be. the guys that make this film are under the flame along with other film makers out there making these comic and video game remakes they are expected to do good and be innovative with the story and filming of these types of movies if they chose to take the "CG" only route instead of intermixing that with handmade effects or trashing the CG animation path entirely and put some grit into the movie instead of "Clean-Cut" animation from computers then the movie honestly will not look believable or good. so i hope that they take their time and use the amount of time given to create cinematic art, then they are wasting their, the company, and the audiences time.
