Harrison Ford says they're still in the "primary stages" of development when it comes to the next "Indiana Jones" movie.

Talking to MTV, the ageing action-hero says until George Lucas comes up with a storyline - and something for Indy to go in search of - they've got nothing.

''Thats the process. With some general input [Lucas] goes off and searches for the MacGuffin and then stumbles into a story. And at some point we have a chance to take a look at and give some input.''

Sounds like Ford and Lucas - and presumably director Steven Spielberg - are all dead-keen to do another... but are we as enthusiastic to see a new "Indiana Jones" film say, in the same way we were last year?

Nobody who nitpicked it to death will be happy to see another. I thought film lived up to expectations and at the same time created a new vein of stories that suit our hero very well in his new era (1950s). The film was excellent, if slightly out of tune. The next one would be better if they went for it.

If they can make another one that's good, go for it. On the other hand, this was a fitting swan song and its never a bad thing to let it go, which is the likely outcome, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I "nitpicked" the last one and rightfully so it was pitiful. But, I would love to see another now that the hype is gone. Something less flashy, childlike and silly.

Then you'll be waiting a long time then wont ya. The films have gotten lighter and lighter since the unneeded backlash of ToD. Forget it.

What is "ToD?" I'll go see whatever they make because I'm a huge fan, I may not be happy with it but I'll go see it. Indy 5 just needs less Lucas inolvement. That man is so cheesy. Also, I would love it if Mutt was taken out of the film, he was a mistake and a major let down. As was the forced marriage thing with Indy's returning chick.

ToD = Temple of Doom.

And Yes, with Lucas less is more. Disagree about the marrage. The film was designed to be a possible ending to the franchise and even if it wasn't he needs to stop skirt chasing. It's cute but he doesn't need to turn into Eastwood and keep doing women he could be a grandfather to.

Mmmm not.

Its like having James Bond have childrens, I know there is a cartoon series about James Bond Jr., but that having him kids in the movies, no thanks.

Indiana Jones should have kept single, I think that with his marriage it is going to be like in the Mummy 2 and 3, a big happy action family, that is not Indiana Jones style, in ToD you got something like that with the actrees and the chineese kid, but it was a bad combination. In TLC, Indiana had his father, but no more, now he is going to have a wife and a kid, that is just wrong and bad for the story.

Yea...James Bond gets a face lift every 15 to 20 years.

They already did in the Dark Horse Comic run...his dad was along for the ride, so that was cool. I'd be cool with a movie about it anyway though.

A movie version of those comics would be fine by me. Of course, they would have to tweak it a bit so that his father wasn't involved.

But hey, now that we've got Marian and Mutt, I think they'll make excellent filler.
