There are many rumors that Indy V will not have Indy himself or at most Harrison would be playing a tiny role. I'm all against this idea, but was wondering how open you are to the idea of Mutt becoming Indy...

Mutt is an awesome character. Brilliantly written and performed

But he ain't Indy.

Indiana Jones is Harrison Ford's character, and should remain so.

If they wanna do a film about Mutt, brilliant. I'm fine with that but it can't be called; "Indiana Jones and the blah blah blah"

Lol, I would def. not call Mutt a brilliantly played or crafted character but I agree they shouldn't have the right to call it Indy 5.

Ford was Indy, period.

And while I liked Mutt's character in the film, I have no desire to see any film called "Mutt Jones and the Quest for the Golden Ring of Venice"

Mutt Jones has a bad ring to it.
End it with Indy 4.

I wouldn't mind it. I think Shia LaBeouf could pull it off. Anyway, George Lucas said that Harrison Ford would be in it if they did another one, so there would be continuity. There's a lot more adventuring to be done and they have to pass the torch while old Indy's still alive.

That kid is not likeable, at least not by me, he apear in many movies, that make him like a whore, is not his fault that producers allways cast him, but i dont like him much, alltough he did good in IJ and TKOCS

Ford is Indiana, and the last movie is a good end to the franchise.

I love the Indiana Jones Franchise and would love to see it continue to go on, but only with Ford as Indiana Jones. It can be done, I mean Ford loves playing Indiana Jones and its not like he is doing anything else!

As for Mutt Williams as the new Indiana Jones. As far as I know, the 5th movie isn't going to have him as the leading star of the movie. Its more like Indiana Jones and Mutt will both share the lead rather than Mutt being a supporting character/sidekick.

If thats the way it'll be, thats cool with me. If he is indeed the star with Ford being a supporting character, I'm not for it but I'd probably see it anyway.

Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones. They've got to make more while he's still around lol

What about "Mutt Williams and the Something Something"? That could work I think. They should wait a few years until his character is grown out of the whole greaser thing though. I loved the greaser thing in KotCS, but when he is the main character he should be more grown up. Even if they wait 10 years or more and then do a trilogy with Shia...and Harrison comes back in the 3rd one with a beard...I'd be cool with that. In a couple of them, he could be up against Koreans or Vietnamese. I could imagine them making some really good movies.

I don't know if he's joking or not, but I certainly agree with the sentiment. I loved the movie and would be happy to see it be the final story of Indy.

I like the idea of Mutt taken up his fathers buisness at least the aventure part.

Indy will stiil be Indy.
And i'm preety sure he'll have more than just a tiny role.

Lets hope Mutt grows up a little and losesess the greaser look and finds a better name.

Yo Psycho, considering you think that Lucas should have nothing to do with the franchise that HE CREATED...You clearly know nothing about the franchise.

I personally think it was a fitting end. As much as I'd love for them to make more, I'm happy to have at least seen one more.

You clearly DO NOT understand what im saying. I said the INDY V should be made without Lucas's so-call "creative" influence and that he should just finance the movie and let Spielberg do his thing.

But i guess you Lucas a** sniffers would object to that since you'd love a Star Wars Meets Indiana Jones movie, or using lightsabers in an indy flick. Oh wait, Lucas might actually consider this. Ooops.

I agree. Mutt can hold his own. And i personally liked his 50's greaser style, i hope they stay with it.

I don't understand how you're refuting his point by saying Lucas should have no creative influence. He is the reason, along with Spielberg's brilliant direction, that the Indiana Jones movies are even popular.

Like i said before, i give him credit for the first 3. After Indy 3, hes seriously lost it. Star Wars 1-3? Indy4? how big of a joke were those movies with the exception of some scenes in Ep.3? Waiting 20 years for this movie was a huge slap in the face of Indy fans. While the franchise does have some unbelievable moments, i NEVER thought id see Indy tackle on Aliens in a movie. That was just a huge mistake.

While most people will say that he did have the creative genius behind the Indy movies, what has he accomplished since then? Like i said, he only made Star Wars 1-3 after Indy3, and look how they turned out, most die hard star wars fans wont even acknowledge ep.1-3 cause it was just seriously messed up.

I give him props for making the Indy franchise popular, but stalling for 20 years until an Alien story emerged? pffftt gay. If i were Lucas, id just finance the next couple movies, and let Spielberg make the last 2 indy movies with ford so they can finish the franchise on a positive note.
