Kingdom of the crystal skull is better IMHO - I liked temple of doom although it was a bit random & does not fit as well as the other 3 movies .

I think 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' is a better movie.

But I would rather watch 'Temple of Doom'.

KOTCS was more in the spirit of the other films, but Temple of Doom was still an amazing movie. I guess I'll go with KOTCS.

Worst of the series, but not bad by any stretch of the imagination.

Ill give this to KOTCS.

ONLY becasue Shias acting was good, and like the whole GREASER feel in the 50's. But the story sucked. Aliens? seriously wtf were they thinking for the past 20 years but Aliens?

actually, that was to be expected. I remember an interview with lucas and/or spielberg, explaining the direction in which the new indy would go (from our prespectives 'has gone' of course ) well, they said something like the following: The first three movies were settled in the 1930ies and were based on those adventure cliffhanger serials that were popular in that time but now due to indy's age the forth movie is set in the fifties, and again the movie is modeled after the accompanying genre favorites, i.e. cheesy sci-fi b-movies

I'm just saying, if ye read what they said about the movie during production ye couldn't have been surprised by it.

I think I too would've enjoyed a normal adventure Indy more though

I know where your coming from in some ways but people would have also complained if they had done another where they were serching for another biblical artifact - they had to change with the times as well so in the 50's it was really about the cold war & alien's (roswell ) so they went with that .

It's a tough call. Having KOTCS fresh in my mind is probably making me biased, so I'll definitely have to reserve judgment for now.

I will say this: I like Short Round a LOT better than I like Mutt.

It was a great movie, no doubt about that, but its the worst of the series. Just goes to show how great the franchise is.

Yea, they should have kept it with something more normal than explore Aliens.

The reason i didnt know that, was that i wanted to come into the movie and not expect anything but a good old Indy flick. I understood that they were going to the 50's, and they would use propaganda and paranoia surrounding the Soviets, but in NO way was i expecting to see Aliens, and on top of all that a flying Saucer in the movie. I was seriously let down.

When the teaser poster hit, and the leaked picture of the skull, i some-what knew it looked alien, but was hoping that they would make the skull some-what of an artifact that people who wrapped infants skull to make them that shape worship the alien skull.

I would have felt 100% better, even if they said the skull was alien, but NOT show the ALIENS at all. I mean, look at the other Indy movies, they have biblical and religious artifacts, but they dont show where it came from or who created them. It would have kept it suspenseful, and not stupid like showing what? 6 alien skeletons suddenly merged to make a living and breathing alien? Come on!

The sidekick in TOD is worst than Aliens in KOCS but the action is better in TOD, for just a little KOCS is better, but far from Crusade or Raiders level

How can you have Bible history with some Alien history it does not make sense
with the whole indiana Jones thing. Its a contradiction.

Unless they explain it in some other way like fallen Angel's and man's Angelic history it will not make sense. So what are they concluding that Aliens inspired history and all those other films were wrong?

If people are looking for Godly inspiration it seems to me the Bible searching stories are much better than the rest.
Lost Ark and Crusades has a better and more inspiring story than Doom and Skull stories.

Did they avoid the Bible angle to appease the growing tension of Islamic influence on peoples attitudes with Political Correction and Islamic threats to film makers views?
Was another Bible story thrill like the anti-Christian film Da Vinci's code that caused riots and protests in Islamic countries let alone here in the West change its story telling?

Would Speilberg a Known Jew be a target in this day and age for depicting Biblical stories as true when searching and crossing Islamic lands for evidence to depict such history, would turn into a real political stir up story for todays fundimentalists? Would they get permission to film in Islamic countries if their film was to show the Bible as being the right religion? I guess not that would be suicide wouldn't it?

I guess without knowing it we are becoming restricted in what we say and if not we will end up causing bans on films in countries and creating protests because the global world does not understand freedom of speech. They can ban things in their countries but not ours i hope. Slowly though I find we are being told what to do and not to do.

Crystal Skull.

I didn't care for Temple of Doom too much.

I hated Willie and Hated Short Round.
Also, I just didn't care for the darkness of the film. By that, I do not mean the tone of the film, but rather the actual lack of licht, since most of the film took place underground.
