I agree! I really enjoyed the movie. And I wish that people would stop comparing Evolution to Ghostbusters. The Ghostbuster movies were great, but I think it is unfair to compare Evolution to them just because they are both by Ivan Reitman.
I don't think it's unfair to compair Evolution to Ghostbusters. Of course they are different movies, but compairing 2 similar movies gives people a general idea of what to expect. The style of humor was similar. Most directors have a style of directing that leaves an imprint on their work and the fact that it is the same director can be felt in the directing. The very basic plot is similar, it's an unlikely group of 4 people saving the world from a totally unbelievable occurance. I loved the movie, and there are tons of differences, but they feel similar. To compare the two movies is to give new viewers an idea of the feel of the movie. We choose a movie that is comfortable and understandable to explain what to expect in the new movie. If you liked Ghostbusters, you'll like Evolution, in spite of the fact that the details of the two movies are vastly different.
