He said that "Evolution" hadn't happened to the apes that wrote the film, that there are only two laughs in it (which he demonstrated through clips) and then said "I just saved you nine bucks". He then said that it's Thanksgiving in June, because "Evolution" is the summer's first turkey. Said David Duchovny is a good actor, FWIW, but not in this film. I figured as much. "Evolution" looks stupid. Siegel says "Swordfish" rocks and it looks cool so I'm seeing that this weekend. There were a few good laughs but I felt that the whole movie was some kind of excuse to make big commercial (Those who have seen it know what I'm talking about). I still enjoyed myself but I think it's a good movie to rent once it's on video/DVD. He is always trashing what most people like. I have actually heard nothing but negativities about Swordfish. It seems that Travolta, Wolverine and Halle's bare breasts won't be enough to save that film. Who says the movie has to be "intelligent"? It is a comedy. Sometimes I like to go to a movie where I don't have to think, where I can just sit back and relax and have a good time. I did have a good time and enjoyed the movie, I even thought the "commercial" at the end was hilarious. I thought the four main leads did a great job, and instead of being "ghostbusters" they were "bugbusters." And I thought the "dog" looking alien with the mournfull looking eyes was soooooo cute.
