December 21, 2002 — According to Entertainment Weekly, the DVD for the first Harry Potter movie ranks as the worst of the year:

Maybe we're just bitter, stupid Muggles, but why in the name of Dumbledore do we have to enroll in ''Potions Class'' and jump through countless other Hogwartsian hoops just to see those damn deleted scenes? The disc's numerous menu puzzles are (allegedly) fun for junior wizards, but they make impatient older sorcerers want to go Voldemort.
