With everyone asking about favorites, I figured i'd explore other people's interests in my favorite form of entertainment. So, what are your favorite musicals, and, if you have them, theatrical actors and actresses?
My favorite musicals are:
Bat Boy
Phantom of the Opera(I see it in November for the first time, but I love the soundtrack with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman)
Les Miserables
The Producers
Kiss Me Kate
You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown(I was Linus in my middle schools production)
Rogers and Hammerstein's musicals(There are too many to name)
West Side Story
The Music Man
Little Shop of Horrors
Rocky Horror Show
Anything by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber
Rogers and Hammerstein's musicals(There are too many to name)
+ many more.
Actors/Actresses: Kevin Chamberlin, the entire cast of Bat Boy, particularly Deven May, Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman, Janine LaManna, Joannah Gleason, Bernadette Peters, Colm Wilkinson, Terrence Mann, Tom Hewitt, Samuel E. Wright(Sabastian in the Little Mermaid, currently Mufasa in Broadways version of The Lion King), Heather Headly, Nathan Lane, Mathew Broderick, Lea Salonga, Anthony Rapp, B.D. Wong(Linus in the Broadway revival of YAGMCB), Kristen Chenowith, Donny Osmond, + many more.
Honestly, I could go on forever, but let's get some other opinions up here.
Let man's petty nations tear themselves apart.
My lands only borders lie around my heart. - "Chess"
Human brain, hahaha. Some of us don't have human brains. - 3rd Rock From the Sun
We will show them a love they can never destroy. - "Bat Boy: The Musical"
Something about the end of the world. - Sam, Lord of the Rings

| Carolee Carmello and Burke Moses are two more greats of the stage, I saw them in "Kiss Me, Kate." Also in "Kiss Me, Kate" were Michael Gruber, Munkustrap in the "Cats" Video, and Stanley Wayne Mathis, Bonzai in the original "Lion King" and Schroder in the revival of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." "Cats" also brings to mind Elaine Paige, Grizabella from the video. Her "Memory" is beautiful and tragic. Let man's petty nations tear themselves apart.
