Movie Review:
My thoughts on this movie...
Spider-Man ! Spider-Man ! This movie has been a long since talked about movie since the early 90's, and it finally got what it deserved....a greenlight. Starring Tobey Maguire, Kristen Dunst and Directed by Sam Raimi, this movie was worth my while.

I really enjoyed myself during this movie because its the kind of movie that has you on the edge of your seat and has action, tons of it. The opening credits got me wailing as a 4 minute cue of music by Danny Elfman took its place first, showing digital images of webs and hearing a ethereal vocal during the opening. Then we are taken to Tobey Maguire's character Peter Parker, a nerd who has the hots for Kristen Dunsts' character Mary-Jane Watson. Peter and his class begin a field trip to a University of spiders and there anatomy. There, Peter is bitten by a new species of spider and is transformed into the legendary Spider-Man. One main key element that I love about this movie is not only does it have action, but it has good character development, and the acting is overall, good. Another good element about this film is that it stays very close to the original comic book series and original television show, and doesn't try to reinvent anything new. Even some of the dialogue is from the original series, which thrilled me in a good and unexpected way.
The build up is good, the pacing, the score, the acting, everything. Tobey Maguire turned out to be a terrific Spider-Man, and plays his character physically and emotionally well. One thing that is a major flaw in this film are the continous errors. For instance: when Peter is trying out his "web action" in his bedroom, he pulls the lamp forward and it smashes on the wall. In the next scene, when his grandmother Aunt May, played by Rosemary Harris, comes to his door the lamp is back where it was, unsmashed. This was not the first flaw that I picked out during the movie, but oh well. I'll stop getting technical and get on with the action. Anyways, the fight sequences were awesome. Theres probably about 3 to 4 duals with Spider-Man's enemy The Green Goblin, and all turned out to be great.

Overall, this was a great movie and keeps everything on track the way it should be. It turns out that Directer Sam Raimi known for his famous horror series 'Evil Dead' has learned a thing or to in making a good quality movie with good quality actors and actresses. I loved this movie all the way, and I hope everyone out there who likes superhero films such as this did too. I'll post a DVD review on this film when available. - Awesome movie ****
